Étienne-Martin Collection
This space displays the major gift of fifteen sculptures by Étienne-Martin made to the museum by l’Oréal. This is complemented by the generous gift of a large body of archive material by Madame Marie-Thérèse Martin-Le Balc’h. The varied range of formats and materials displayed covers almost the whole of the sculptor’s career, illustrating the different major series which marked his progression: early abstract arts, Dwellings, Games and Roots, salvaged materials and polychromy.
